A highly versatile medium-strength aluminum alloy with higher corrosion resistance than Al7075, Al7050, and Al2024. Suitable for repair of cast and wrought aluminum alloys, especially where a combination of good strength and high corrosion resistance is desired. Can be deposited both by hand spray and robot spray. When using helium process gas the resulting deposits have reached wrought spec. for Al6061.

Aluminum 2024

Cold Spray Repair of Castings

A high-strength aluminum alloy with lower corrosion resistance than Al6061. Used where matching material is required for repair, especially in aircraft applications. Can be deposited both by hand spray and robot spray. Achieves high (10+ ksi) adhesion strength and low (<1%) porosity when deposited onto aluminum alloys using nitrogen process gas.

Commercially Pure Titanium

Extremely corrosion resistant coating material suitable for repair of both pure titanium and Ti-6Al-4V (also known as Ti64 and Grade 5 titanium). Suitable for protection against chloride attack for several materials such as welded 304SS and carbon steel. Can also be deposited upon high-temperature plastics such as polyether ether ketone (PEEK). Can be deposited both by hand spray and robot spray. Deposits well with nitrogen driver gas, but helium is recommended for structural applications.

Copper has been used as a disinfectant agent for centuries, and copper surfaces kill bacteria, viruses, and even fungi. Examples include methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), E.coli, norovirus (which gives the “stomach flu”), influenza viruses, and candida albicans. The underlying mechanisms are thought to be disruption of cell membranes and cellular respiration in bacteria and fungi, and by destroying proteins in viruses. Copper bonds well to many materials and can be cold spray deposited onto a wide variety of metal surfaces, such as aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, and others.
