Meet the VRC Metal Systems management team, a group of professionals behind the development of cutting edge cold spray systems.

Rob Hrabe, MS

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Mr. Hrabe is a seasoned emerging technologies entrepreneur and has founded several engineering-focused start-ups. This follows 22 years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force Lt. Colonel (ret), as a B-1B Pilot and Technology Insertion Engineer.

He has ingenuity, vision, and passion for deploying new technologies to solve real-world problems. He has leveraged his military relationships, developed networks, built teams, and formed companies to commercialize these technologies.

Mr. Hrabe became an effective leader and expert in aircraft engineering and maintenance during his military service as an Acquisition Officer, Logistics Engineer, Computer-aided Engineering Program Manager, Assistant Director of Operations and Inspector General. Mr. Hrabe holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and a Master of Engineering from California State Polytechnic University.

Terree Matson, MS

President and Chief Operations Officer

Ms. Terree Matson is the President / COO of VRC Metal Systems and has been imperative to the rapid expansion of VRC’s manufacturing operations. 

Ms. Matson graduated with a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering and a M.S. in Technology Management from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. 

Following graduation, Ms. Matson went on to gain over 20 years of experience in original equipment manufacturing and contract manufacturing starting as a Quality Engineer. She led the implementation of AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and TL 9000 for various companies and became a Certified Lead Auditor for AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. Additionally, Ms. Matson is formerly trained and certified in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.  

Prior to joining VRC Metal Systems in 2017, Ms. Matson was Vice President of Operations at Lehman Trikes USA and had engineering and statistical process control roles at Polaris and SCI. Once at VRC Metal Systems, Ms. Matson was key in the design and construction of the new VRC World Headquarters & Manufacturing facility along with the implementation of AS9100. Ms. Matson continues to advance VRC Metal Systems through our expansion and towards our goals. 

Tim Gellerson, MBA

President of the Aerospace Group and Chief Strategy Officer

Tim Gellerson brings over 30 years of aerospace experience with twenty plus years at the senior executive level, including overseeing both domestic and foreign operations for multiple repair stations, new production manufacturing and aftermarket businesses in both the military and civil sectors.

Tim began his career as a certified machinist at Dowty Aerospace while attending college with advancing levels of responsibility at various large aerospace companies. Having been formally trained/certified in Six Sigma Black Belt Practices and Lean Manufacturing, Tim has led continuous operations improvement initiatives at, Smith Aerospace, GE Aviation, Moog Aircraft Group, and Precision Aerospace Products with great success while managing multiple sites. He was also instrumental in growing existing and developing new revenue streams using strategic business development methodologies with companies like Boeing, RTX, Lockheed, Northrop Grumman as well as both U.S and foreign military branches.

Leveraging his Master’s in Business Administration and Project Management, Bachelors in Business Law, Manufacturing Engineering Certification, as well as his vast technical background and proven executive management experience.

Aaron Nardi, MS

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Nardi is responsible for technology leadership within the organization, identification of emerging trends in technology and positioning VRC to take advantage of those trends.

In addition, Aaron is responsible for ensuring the technologies being developed align with the core VRC mission, business goals, and organizational strengths. Prior to VRC Aaron was the team lead for the Solid-State Additive Manufacturing Team within the Weapons and Materials Division of the US Army Research Labs.

In this role he had technical leadership for all activities underway within the lab including operations at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, at facilities which are part of ARL Northeast, and at partner laboratories within academic and industrial collaborator sites.
